An outing to the RAF Museum

On Saturday we walked to the bus stop and caught a bus to the train station. We were going to see the RAF Museum where a large number of aircraft were on display. This was going to be another exciting day! Ooops wrong train station so we walked out and across to the proper station where we caught a train to a station halfway to the museum. There we changed trains and traveled to Mill Hill where we left the train. It was getting near lunchtime so we all went to some shops and picked up sandwiches to eat at the museum. Heading to the bus stop we all climbed aboard a bus (nearly took the wrong one) and began the last leg of the journey. The bus stopped outside the Museum and some splendid planes were already visible.

As we walked toward the entrance we were met by many people traveling the other way. This was curious as they all seemed to be leaving the Museum. A security guard at the gate turned us away advising that due to security reasons the Museum was being shut and all visitors and staff were being advised to leave the premises.

So we went to a nearby park where we had a picnic

and watched the local birdlife
When we were ready we went by bus and train and train and bus back to London to rest after our exciting day at the RAF Museum!
